Know That Your Donation Will Have an Impact
Most donations to the ACT Foundation go to its scholarships, third-party management of its scholarship programs, and individual charities supported by the Foundation. The Foundation itself has no paid employees nor does it have separate headquarters and associated expenses. The ACT Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization, and as such contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Following are Further Reasons to Support ACT Foundation Programs:
Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities. The ACT Foundation reaches thousands of high school students, college students, and college administrators each year. In return for your support, you'll increase your company's visibility on our website and other materials. Download Sponsorhip Form
ACT Foundation Second-Year Scholarships. This program enables you to support college students nationwide as they enter their (often-difficult) sophomore year. Many scholarships fund students only in their first year, and financial challenges leading into their sophomore year may cause students to second-guess continuing their education. Receiving a scholarship can provide a boost to keep students motivated.
ACT Foundation ACT Cares Scholarships. This program provides a means for you to be a part of a larger drive to support young people in your community. Your donation will be part of an award to graduating high school seniors from the following counties to which you may have specific ties: Kern and Los Angeles Counties in California; Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren Counties in Ohio; and Dallas, Denton, Collin and Tom Green Counties in Texas.
Both scholarship programs are judged and managed by an independent third party, and your donations – large or small – will go to deserving students as judged by merit and financial need. Read more on ACT Foundation scholarship programs.
Financial Wellness Programs. Student loan debt has reached epic proportions, and the student loan default rate is historically high. Many students or recent graduates don’t fully understand that unpaid or unaddressed debts – no matter how small – can negatively impact their financial futures for years to come. The ACT Foundation aims to build awareness of the consequences of monstrous or unpaid debts so students will work to keep their futures bright.
Charitable Support. Often, the ACT Foundation earmarks funds for other critical charities addressing hunger, children’s well-being, community support, or disease awareness/treatment such as the Susan G. Komen organization. Donations to these charities primarily come from announced campaigns.
The ACT Foundation welcomes your input into its activities and direction. When you donate, you are welcome to request where you would like your money to go, and we always look forward to receiving feedback at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The volunteer nature of the ACT Foundation and generous corporate sponsorship mean nearly 100% of individual donations reach the people who can benefit the most from them.
"Thanks again for the scholarship and for not only making my college pursuit possible, but for also helping other students in the future years to come."
